Nambour Meals on Wheels could not provide the service we do without our wonderful Volunteers. We are always on the look out for reliable Volunteers. Please call us on 5441 3543 if you are interested. We are registered with Centrelink as an approved Mutual Obligation organisation.

We have several Volunteer roles;

​

Delivery Driver:        Working from 11.00 am to approximately 1.30 pm, with a Delivery Assistant, deliver                                          meals to our clients. Your own vehicle is needed and there is a small petrol subsidy                                      to assist with expenses.

Deliver Assistant:     Working from 11.00 am to approximately 1.30 pm, with the Delivery Driver, deliver                                         meals to our clients.

​

Kitchen Assistant:    With a team of other volunteers, assist the Chef in the kitchen from 7.00 am to                                                12.noon. Amongst others, the duties can include washing dishes, cleaning,                                                      vegetable preparation, salad preparation and serving meals.

Afternoon Shift:        Working from 12 noon to 2.00 pm, completing the final clean up duties including                                            cleaning and sanitising the delivery eskies.

​

Packing Assistant:    Working from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, assisting with packing meals for the day's                                                  delivery and labelling frozen meals.

All Volunteers must undergo a Police Check and must provide evidence of at least two COVID-19 Vaccinations.
